New Tiger Cubs at Dreamworld’s Tiger Island
Dreamworld has welcomed two new female Bengal tiger cubs who were born January 24. They are the newest additions to the Tiger Island family since 2015 and mark the continuing efforts for conservation of the critically endangered species.
“Around the world, it is estimated there are fewer than 4000 tigers alive in the wild,” said general manager of life sciences Al Mucci to the Courier Mail.
“Tigers are listed as critically endangered and Dreamworld’s breeding program is helping to ensure a long-term future for these magnificent animals.”
JVG Sound is excited to see the incoming footage of the adorable critters after they installed a full AV system at Tiger Island in 2017 complete with pole cameras to capture the action of live shows, hidden tiger-cams and Bosespeakers for the eager crowds.
Dreamworld says the cubs will be visible to guests by the end of February along with their parents Nika and Raja, and siblings Kai, Adira and Akasha.
