ISE 2018 Round Up

This year’s Integrated Systems Europe show has been the biggest the world has seen, with record breaking attendance, loads of product announcements and the biggest names in the industry mingling in Amsterdam last week. Here at JVG Sound we were excited to hear from suppliers like EpsonCrestronSamsungBiampLG and many more about their progress in 2017 and what we can look forward to seeing in 2018.

Epson announced the launch of the EB-L20000U 20,000-Lumen Laser Projector which employs a stainless steel frame designed to hold up in the intense hire and stage production environments or for implementation as a great fixed installation projector. It has a configurable input back with interchangeable lenses and great colour payoff.
They also announced the Pro L1755U 15000-Lumen Laser Projector which can run on standard 120 volt power with an “incredibly bright” display and small body and a capacity for up 1000″ image throw. It features full 3LCD by Epson colour which makes for great colour saturation and comes with a variety of lenses for any application.
Another announcement is the LightScene EV-100 Series Projector from Epson which is a self-proclaimed new and exciting territory for the company. It caters to retail, entertainment and hospitality markets with an experiential approach to projection technology. The dynamic and immersive displays allow for businesses to create VR-like environments using smart projections and a chance to engage customers and spark their imagination.

Crestron had big announcements this year including the announcement of their collaboration with Kaptivo to create Airboard, a whiteboard sharing system that allows near-to-real time translation of traditional whiteboard use to monitors and laptops, allowing easier access of information whether you’re inside or outside the room.
We also heard about the new iteration of AirMedia, Crestron’s wireless presentation technology. AirMedia 2.0 will be easier for anyone with a wireless device, more secure on a wireless network and simpler with built in use for popular Crestron presentation solutions.
The Advanced 3-Series Wall Mount Media Presentation Controllers were also announced, with 3 models of the controllers being launched. They are the first wall mount media presentation controllers with capacitive buttons and an integrated control system. Crestron says they provide “an ideal media control solution in classrooms, meeting rooms, lecture halls, and training facilities.”

Biamp released new beam tracking microphones for their Tesira line of products, which John Urban says will allow the user to move any which way they like without having to sacrifice sound quality like their beam forming counterparts.
They also announced 2 channel POE+ amplifiers with completely new energy reserve technology to enable wattage above the POE standard allowing greater management of sound interference and easier installation.
And finally two new Devio huddle room models were released in an effort to give rooms of all types the chance to employ the technology and create room in the market for different audiences.
