Infusion Lounge, Coolangatta Hotel
Infusion Vodka Lounge is an exciting, unique lounge bar and nightclub recently opened in Coolangatta Hotel. The Coolangatta Hotel has been a happy client of JVG Sound Lighting and Visual for many years. The design and installation of pro audio and lighting for Infusion was entrusted to the JVG team with Jade Golar in charge of the project and design; the new fit out presented an exciting opportunity for both parties.
The brief read “This venue requires clear sound to be dispersed throughout the VIP and standing areas and to bring a modern ambience to the bar and dance floor, both architecturally and acoustically.” The brief also stated that the sound from the bar was not to travel to the gaming room, function rooms or to the residential tower above.
Installed were 10 x J Audio SV8i speakers as well as a J Audio SV18S single 18” subwoofer either side of the dance floor. The subwoofers were strategically hidden under the podiums, ensuring greater sound in the dance area. 6 x J Audio SV10i speakers were hung using J Audio U-brackets and were positioned 90-degrees horizontal and 60-degrees vertical to the dance floor, again allowing clear sound without distortion at 110db.
Lighting was customised specific to this venue and needed to suit any function or event, compliment the new furniture as well as showcase the vast array of vodka bottle colours and flavours. JVG used J Lighting RGB LED Tape throughout the VIP areas, steps and spirit shelves. The 10 x Robe 170 AT strobe lights, hazers and LED floor lighting have together created an exciting visual experience, ensuring “Infusion” is the ultimate dance party location in the Southern Gold Coast region. This lighting system is controlled with an Ezi Control 22” Touch Panel running windows 7, Ecue Silver Butler and the DMX chain.
Management of the Coolangatta Hotel were very happy with the service and products used in this venue from the pre-design to completion. Coolangatta Hotel continues to prove very popular with local and visiting patrons and regularly hosts international touring bands and events.
