Flinders Street Development, Townsville

The newest feature in the Townsville City Centre is a waterproof, state-of-the-art 3840mm x 2208mm V Screen P6MM Indoor LED Screen situated in the hub of the retail area. This screen is a part of the Townsville City Council’s refurbishment of the city mall. The LED screen was supplied and installed by JVG Sound Lighting and Visual.

JVG Sound Lighting and Visual programmed the V Screen P6MM Indoor LED Screen to be controlled remotely and pre-programmed the system to allow switching between Austar, Free TV and live events. This screen is the only outdoor large format LED screen in North QLD and is made up of 15 x V Screen P6MM cabinets. Jade Golar, Managing Director of JVG designed a custom roller system especially for this project to enable suspension of the large LED Screen. JBL Line Arrays hung either side of the LED screen, all other installed audio equipment was supplied by Jands. Audio was controlled by Crown amplifiers, fully integrated with the Extron and Crestron control system. In addition a CBUS lighting control was interfaced to the Crestron control system. Hansen Yuncken and Watpac were all extremely happy with the works facilitated by JVG Sound.
